Terms of service

The terms, in plain English.

These terms are the agreement between your business and Prompt AI Ethical Solutions USA LLC for BeatTheDoor. Please read them; they're written to be read.

Who we are, and who these terms are for

BeatTheDoor is a service of Prompt AI Ethical Solutions USA LLC, a Wisconsin limited liability company that trades as Prompt AI USA ("we", "us"), at PO Box 1209, Milwaukee, WI 53208. "You" means the business that signs up, and everyone in your workspace.

BeatTheDoor is for businesses only. By creating a login, choosing a plan or using the service, you confirm you're at least 18 and allowed to agree to these terms for your business, and that you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

What we provide

  • Leads: businesses in the trades and areas of your campaign, built from public sources, with the owner or decision-maker where public records show them, and checks on websites and email addresses. Each lead says how sure we are; public records can be incomplete or out of date, and we can't promise every detail is right.
  • Outreach: emails to those businesses from a mailbox on your domain (or a sister domain), with follow-ups that stop when someone replies, bounces or opts out.
  • Replies and meetings: suggested answers to replies, drafted with AI, for you to approve, edit or handle yourself, and a booking link where you give us one.
  • The portal: your leads, emails waiting for approval, conversations, meetings, reports and exports.

We may improve or change parts of the service. If a change takes away something you rely on, we'll tell you first.

Plans, prices and billing

  • Plans, their prices and what each includes are shown on our pricing page or in your order. There's no setup fee unless your order says otherwise.
  • Automatic renewal: plans are month to month. Your plan renews automatically each month, and we charge the card on file (through Stripe) at the start of each period, until you cancel. You can cancel online at any time (see below). Invoiced plans, where we agree them in writing, renew the same way.
  • Prices exclude any taxes that apply. Your receipt for each charge is emailed to you and kept in Settings → Plan & billing.
  • If a payment fails, we'll let you know and may pause sending until it's sorted. Your leads and data stay in your workspace meanwhile.
  • We'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change applies to you. You can cancel before it does.

Cancelling, and refunds

  • You can cancel at any time, from Settings → Plan & billing in the portal, or by emailing [email protected].
  • Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you've already paid for, and then stops. We don't give refunds for part of a billing period, or for months you didn't use.
  • After it stops, you can still sign in for 30 days to export your leads and conversations; after that we may delete your workspace data, as described in our privacy policy.
  • We can end or suspend the service if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if you don't pay, or if your use puts our sending reputation, other clients or the people you email at risk. Where it's reasonable, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to fix it.

No guaranteed results

We work hard to put real owners and good timing in front of you, but we can't control whether a business replies, books a meeting or buys from you. Unless your order says otherwise in writing, we don't guarantee any number of replies, meetings or sales, and any figures we show (like the profit calculator) are estimates, not promises.

Your leads

  • Yours to use: you can use the leads delivered to you for your own business, during and after your plan, and export them at any time.
  • Exclusive: while your campaign is active, we don't put the same lead in another client's campaign for the same trade and area.
  • Not for resale: you may not sell, rent, publish or give our lead data to others, or use it to build a competing data product.
  • Not for eligibility decisions: you may not use our data to decide anyone's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing or any other purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. We are not a consumer reporting agency.

Lists you upload

When you upload your own list, you confirm you're allowed to use it for business outreach. We match it to businesses we already hold, keep the rest private to your workspace, use it only for you, and never share it with other clients. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Sending on your behalf: the rules

The emails go out in your name, so you're responsible for what they say and offer. You agree that your offers and emails will:

  • be honest: real sender, accurate subject lines, no misleading claims about you or what you sell;
  • follow the CAN-SPAM Act and any other law that applies to your offer and your trade (licensing, advertising and industry rules included);
  • be business-to-business offers, not consumer marketing;
  • not promote tobacco, vape, hemp or cannabis products, weapons, adult content, gambling, or anything illegal where it's sent.

We keep a sender name, your postal address and an opt-out line in every email; please don't remove them. Anyone who opts out, bounces or complains goes on a do-not-email list that every BeatTheDoor client shares, and we won't email them again for anyone. We may hold, edit for compliance or decline any email or campaign that we think breaks these rules or could harm deliverability, and we'll tell you why.

We don't send cold text messages or cold WhatsApp messages. See Data sources & compliance for how we work.

Your domain and mailbox

  • You own your domain and mailbox. You give us the access we need to send from it and, if you choose, to read replies and bounces in it. You can withdraw that access at any time; sending then stops.
  • We set up authentication with you, warm the mailbox up slowly and keep daily volumes low to protect its reputation. Inbox placement depends on mailbox providers we don't control, so we can't guarantee it.
  • If you change the mailbox password or settings, please tell us, so sending doesn't fail.

AI-drafted replies

Suggested replies are drafted by an AI model from your offer details and the conversation. They can be wrong. Nothing is sent until you (or someone in your workspace) approves it, and you're responsible for what you approve. You can always hand a conversation to yourself instead.

Your account

Keep your password private and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your login. You're responsible for what happens in your workspace, including the people you invite to it.

Using the portal fairly

You agree not to:

  • share logins outside your workspace, or let anyone outside your business use the service;
  • copy, scrape, resell or bulk-download the service or our database beyond the exports the portal gives you;
  • reverse engineer, probe or test the security of the service, or try to reach other workspaces' data;
  • use the service to send anything unlawful, deceptive or harmful, or to anyone outside the United States.

We may suspend access that breaks these rules to protect the service and other clients, and we'll tell you why.

Your data and privacy

How we handle your data, and the data of the businesses in our database, is described in our privacy policy. We use your workspace data only to provide BeatTheDoor to you, and we keep it confidential. Our software, website and database remain ours; your content remains yours.

Disclaimer and limits of liability

These limits are part of the price: without them we couldn't offer the service at these rates. They apply whatever the legal theory (contract, negligence or otherwise), but not where the law doesn't allow them to.

If a claim is brought against us because of you

You'll defend, indemnify and hold harmless {L}, its members and staff from any claims, losses, fines and costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) that come from your emails or offers, a list you uploaded, your use of the leads, or your breaking these terms or the law. We'll tell you about the claim promptly and let you control the defense, and you won't settle it in a way that admits fault for us without our written agreement.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll email workspace owners at least 30 days before it applies; if you don't agree, you can cancel before then. The date at the bottom shows the latest version.

Law and disputes

  • Talk first: if we disagree, email [email protected] and we'll both try in good faith to settle it within 30 days.
  • Law and courts: these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, and both of us agree to their jurisdiction. Either of us can use small-claims court where it applies.
  • One year: any claim about BeatTheDoor must be brought within one year after it arose, or it's waived, where the law allows.
  • Individually: claims are brought only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class or representative action, and both of us waive any right to a jury trial, to the extent the law allows.

The usual small print

  • Whole agreement: these terms, your order and our privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about BeatTheDoor.
  • Events outside our control: neither of us is responsible for delays caused by things we can't reasonably control, such as outages at our providers, mailbox providers or the internet, or natural disasters.
  • Transfers: you can't transfer these terms without our written agreement; we may transfer them to a company that takes over BeatTheDoor.
  • Notices: we'll send notices to your workspace owner's email; you can send them to [email protected]. You agree we can contact you electronically.
  • Separate parties: we're independent contractors; nothing here creates a partnership or employment.
  • If a part doesn't hold: if any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies, and not enforcing a term isn't a waiver of it.
  • What carries on: the parts about fees owed, your leads, data, the disclaimer, limits, indemnity and disputes continue after your plan ends.
